Heath Bryant-Huppert: NAHA 2015 Makeup Artist of the Year Submission

Heath Bryant-Huppert is an extremely talented makeup artist and good friend of Neon Esquire. In 2014, Heath won the prestigious North American Hairstyling Association Makeup Artist of the Year Award from the Professional Beauty Association. Simply put, the NAHA awards are the Oscars of the beauty industry so we were more than honored when Heath asked us to help style his NAHA 2015 award submission.

When Heath first came to us, he already had in mind a couple of different looks. We worked with him to select, fine tune and finalize the overall editorial concept of the shoot. Given the drama of the hair and the importance of keeping the focus on the makeup, we paired bold metallic and black neckpieces to best accentuate the futuristic style. The neckpieces were modern and had just enough shine to reference Heath's brilliant makeup- not detract from it. The simple patterns of the neckpieces helped to create some texture that enhanced the overall look without losing any cohesion between the styling, hair and makeup.
