"City by Nature" Look Book
On August 2 - 5, the two organizations will be hosting a weekend-long conference for over 2,000 event planners from around the world as part of the annual World Education Conference (WEC). The conference is an opportunity for event planners to discover new vendors, spark ideas and become familiar with the host city as a potential site for future events.
With Minneapolis playing host to this year's WEC, it's an especially unique opportunity to showcase all the amazing aspects of art, music, food and entertainment the city has to offer.
Neon Esquire is thrilled to be a sponsor of the "City by Nature" Opening Night Ceremony held at Mill City Ruins on August 2. The space will be decked out with the best-of-the-best event decor, food, music, art and more. Keeping with the "City by Nature" name, the venue will showcase different themed tented areas such as "Muskie to Monet" and "Four-star to Stargazing" which will feature a different experience for guests created by vendors such as First Avenue, Hell's Kitchen, Aria and more.
Neon Esquire has been asked to take part in the tent area themed, "Parks to Prada," which is where these beautiful images come in.
We will be producing two runway shows, one of which will feature pieces from local designers corresponding with all four seasons in Minnesota. The idea is to give guests a snapshot of the amazing fashion design that exists in our state and a look into why Minnesota style is more than puffy jackets and UGGs. We are so excited to show thousands of guests pieces from the following designers: Lindsey Hopkins, Emily Trevor, Kayla Styczinski, Mary Pranica and Idle Child. Ignite Models will work the runway while one of our favorites, DJ Shannon Blowtorch, provides the soundtrack. Each guest at the event will receive a look book with these images and details on how they can purchase the items seen on the runway.
The look book shoot was held at The COMN in the North Loop of Minneapolis, which is also where Neon Esquire is based. It was a thrill to see these pieces take on a new life as they were paired the seasonal nature backdrops against the white brick and concrete of the building. Our goal was to really capture the duality of Minneapolis' urban settings and vast green landscapes.
We're looking forward to the "City by Nature" event in the coming weeks and will be sure to share images and recaps afterwards.
A big thank you goes out to the entire crew who made this shoot happen as well as Meet Minneapolis and MPI for asking us to be a part of this unique opportunity.
